<<<I have a question from a bfing mom with Lupus. She has been told that
with
SLE the antibodies themselves are abnormal. The mom is concerned that she
is
passing abnormal antibodies to her baby. Anybody know more about this?>>>

I am obviously WAY behind on posts...hopefully I am not being redundant
here, but the vast majority of the antibodies in breastmilk are IgA THAT IS
PUT THERE ON PURPOSE (caps for emphasis...not screaming) by the mother's
immune system. IgG is too large to pass into the milk in any quantity.
