The discussion of the MMR vaccine is very pertinent for me at the moment.
The powers-that-be have decided that this week every child in the country
(aged 9 months to 14 years) will be vaccinated against measles, regardless
of whether they have previously received this vaccination, or not. Last
week I had a call from a client tandem nursing a 14 mo old and a 5 year-old.
It turns out that the baby should be vaccinated again now even though he
received the identical shot two months ago. It can safely be assumed that
most of the babies under l8 mo will be breastfed. From what you have all
written about breastfeeding and the measles vaccine I wonder whether this is
all worth it??
