Thanks to everyone who responded to the list and privately with answers to my
questions about the mom whose doctor was afraid of overmedication with Septra
(to prevent spread of pertussis in community) if both mom and baby were taking
drug directly.

Dr. Hale forwarded a wonderful post to me that I shared with the physician in
question. (I was saving all the posts from you wonderful physicians to use as
additional ammunition if necessary.)

The doctor is now no longer concerned about overmedication and told the mother
he has no reservations about her continuing to nurse throughout the course of
medication. The doctor was also very impressed that I had access to this type
of resource that he did not know how to access. His office is keeping my name,
phone number, and other contact information on file in case they ever need
additional information in the future.

I am so excited!!!! Not only did I help this particular mother/baby pair, but
now I have the potential to have a positive effect on other mother/baby pairs
in the future that this doctor treats.

Thanks again for all the wonderful information you provided to me so quickly.
