Hello all,

Just anecdotal here. My first was born in a free standing birthing
center. She never left me. I know she had the ointment put in her
eyes, but it was at least an hour or more after birth. Everything
was done with her on my tummy. They brought the scale next to my bed
to weigh her eventually. My other three were born at home. They did
not have any eye prophylaxis. When I went in at two weeks to the
doctor for their check-ups, I do not remember there being an issue or
concern on his/her part.

Regards,
Gloria Thai, Va
