Judie, et al.  My apologies for not reading the original post about 
hair straightener more carefully and understanding this was a 
specific treatment, of particular toxicity.  Which goes to highlight 
one of the reasons epidemiological studies don't pinpoint problems 
more readily:  it's hard to focus in on a specific treatment and 
figure out just what it is doing.  But then when you lump treatments 
together into too diffuse a category, the "signal" can get lost for 
the noise.
