In 2012 Canadian anthropologist Daniel Sellen gave a fascinating plenary at
ILCA about the biologic and anthropologic history of introduction of
complementary foods. Just *because* complemntary foods are radily available
doesn't necessarilyu mean they *should* be offered. Humans have a huge
variation, antropologically speaking, of when they introduce other foods to
the BFg baby.

I don't know if the session was recorded, but I loved stepping w a a y back
and learning this way! I note he is one of the authors of an interesting
May 2014 JHL article, on point to the topic: "Exclusive BFg among Canadian
Inuit; Results from the Nunavut Inuit Child Health Survey"
