Lactnet Friends,

My LLL co-leader got a call from a woman who owns a store selling used
baby items. She was wanting information regarding used pumps she has
inherited (she recently bought the store from someone else). She wants to
know which ones are good and how much she should sell them for. I have no
idea what to tell her, nor does my co-leader. Is it okay to sell used
pumps? Should she tell prospective buyers what the hazards of buying a used
pump might be? What might those hazards be? We obviously cannot give her
advice but maybe some information so she doesn't sell something she probably
shouldn't or something that may cause a problem for some unsuspecting mom
down the road. Any ideas on how to handle this sticky situation? My
co-leader has managed to put her off for now. Please e-mail me privately if
this is more appropriate and thanks in advance.

PS> We definitely are not going to have anything to do with the pricing,
just want to give her accurate information about the suitability of selling
such pumps.
