My interpretation of this statement is that we should "find" a speaker, not
that IBLCE has speakers available on the topics. I have seen several
conference  schedules recently with this topic listed. In fact, Marsha Walker will
address  this issue at the MALC (Michigan affiliate) Conference on October 1.
Other  organizations have had ethics speakers at meetings and conferences that
were not  provided by IBCLE. I don't think IBLCE intended to endorse any speaker
nor  "suggest" them. Many universities and community colleges have competent
speakers  on ethical issues. Most, if not all, hospitals have an ethics
committee. (That  is not to say that un-ethical things can't and don't happen).


I did recieve my newsletter today and I interpreted this statement as "we
should not steal, borrow, or copy the materials written by or created by others
without their permission."
The reference to patents I interprested to mean the manufacture or  creation
of breastfeeding  devices and products.
Wondering how the connection to human milk patents came from this  article.
