I think this question is for mostly U.S. hospitals, but I'd be interested in others internationally as well. It seems a huge waste of formula (no that's not an oxymoron- smile) to dispense it in the supposedly single serving size (2-3 oz bottles) when we only use 10-20 c.c. s of it. I am wondering how do Baby Friendly hospitals dispense their formula. If you could buy formula in gallon containers then you could dispense in small quantities but then you would have the added cost of sterilizing bottles and teats. However, I could see using 10 c.c. syringes with teats. What do your hospitals do? Thanks for any input!
