If a milk bank turns down "older" milk, it is choosing between "younger"
human milk and "older" human milk. Yes, the "younger" milk is better
for a young baby. However, this adoptive mom's choice is between
"older" human milk and artificial milk. Human milk is undoubtedly
better for her baby.

This leads me to a question. For adoptive mothers who induce lactation,
having never been pregnant, what "age" of milk are they making?
