If a person is to be persuaded, often it is successful *after* said person's
pertinent thoughts and feelings have been heard.  I'd like to listen first,
see why she'd prefer not to, then gently suggest your compromise or give
missing education.  Showing respect & concern for her first--wherever she may
be is a must.  I wonder how much listening her husband has done?
