In my sample of five, my two breastfed by me (A smoker) and my sister's
three, formula fed by her (A nonsmoker) with fairly similar family health
histories and
family eating habits...

Nephew, highly allergic, put on Allimentum, dx reflux, now 12 and dx ADHD (no
family history of reflux or ADHD)
Niece, dx reflux, put on soy, picky eater, allergies galore, always anemic,
and now 9...  (No family history of reflux or food allergies)
Nephew (9 months now), spitty on regular enfamil, always stuffy nose, has
been to the doctor more times than both of mine have been in their entire
lifetimes.

My eldest, 9, hardly ever sick, only medical problem repeated ear infections
as a toddler (a history I share).
My youngest, 6, ditto above.
Both eat wide variety of foods, have no allergies, no remaining medical
conditions.

I think this would make a very interesting research study. But it does seem
there would be a lot of variables to control for.....
