I appreciate your info. I guess I am trying to understand this better since I
do know for a fact that the only illnesses that my 4th child has had in her 25
months of life were the chicken-pox (just last month) and the rotavirus (at
age 6 months). It was diagnosed as rotavirus and she did lose a considerable
amount of weight (3 of her 14 pounds at that time) and was very sick.
Fortunately, I was able to keep her hydrated through frequent nursings. Other
than those two times she has never had a cold, a runny nose, an ear infection
or any other typical childhood illness.
All this discussion about bf babies and rotavirus just piqued my curiosity
since she did indeed have it...if that was mild I don't want to see it ever
again because I never had seen any of my 4 children that sick. :)

Back to my studies....
