It's so embarrassing that Canadian physicians can't figure this one out.
Ask them which antibody is on the mother's platelets and causing the
destruction of her platelets.  Likely they are IgG.  Is IgG in breastmilk?
Yes, but in incredibly small amounts, not directed at baby's platelets, and
likely to be destroyed in the baby's gut.  Which is the major antibody in
breastmilk?  SIgA?  Is there SIgA in the mother's blood?  No, actually.  If
they can't figure this one out, then they should go back to medical school.
