Christine, you said "the prolactin level was normal."  If that was per the lab report, then you have an answer right there. Prolactin should be significantly elevated in the early postpartum. Can you provide the actual prolactin value, the day postpartum the blood was drawn, and then number of times per day of breastfeeding/pumping that was averaged at the time of the blood draw?
