Hi, all.

I have been reading about you for a month or so. I really like Lactnet and
will continue to read. I've learned so much already.

As for me:

I'm a mother of three, one was adopted at 4 weeks of age and I was fortunate
enough to have known the birth mother, and the fact that she nursed him for
all the time he was with her. I wasn't educated enough on the subject to
know about sucesses of nursing adopted babies. My other two kids are girls,
both nursed, one is still nursing at 19 months, both delivered by c-section.
We live in a suburb of Washington, D.C.

I also enjoy quilting, although piecemaking has been put on hold for now,
while we deal with 'learning differences' exhibited by my son. That all is
involving therapy, Drs., extra reading on the subjects of behavior
modification, ADHD, Giftedness, and autism.

(Makes my head spin when I write it all down.)

I feel really fortunate to have a forum like this where I can learn from
others 'out there' at all hours.

Carmen
