I believe it is Transient Tachypnea of the Newborn. And it is as you
described, the key word is transient.  It is a fairly common condition, but
as far as limiting the nursing....I'm not sure of what most places/standard
practices.  It is not related to nursing, it is related to the adjustment
from intra to extrauterine life.

I'm sure Dr Jack will have a more technical explaination, but hope this
