I got a call today that kind-of stumped me. A mom wants to
know how to warm a bottle of pumped milk to feed her baby
when she is away from home. If she is at the mall or a park
or anywhere that there is not easy access to hot, running
water or a stove, what should she do?

Of course, the obvious answer is to just breastfeed the
baby. We talked about ways to breastfeed discreetly,
quieter places that she could go to nurse, and the legal
protection of her right to breastfeed in New York state,
etc.

I suggested warming the milk under the faucet in a
restroom, asking for a container of hot water in a
restaurant, or carrying a thermos of hot water for warming
the pumped milk.

Does anybody have any other suggestions or ideas.
