Jan, here I was having a nice Sunday AM until you had to hit what for me is a
huge, exposed nerve! Plastic parenting -- the movement of babies/toddlers
from one plastic container to another, starting with those clear hospital
cribs, barely ever having to touch the baby. Of course, many plastic
containers are multi-purpose so one can drive, stroll, use a shopping cart,
walk, etc. without ever handling baby. These containers just reinforce the
insecurities of handling baby that so many new parents have, since many have
never handled an infant before giving birth.

And we wonder about the anger in our young folk...
