Speaking of colostrum before birth,
I used an automatic breastpump to try to stimulate labor at 10 days past
dates, and was able to express 4 ounces at a time!  Never did bring on
contractions, but the baby never lost an ounce after birth and now weighs 21
pounds at 8 months!
