*if* HCP's weren't so quirky about clipping tongues, GP's would do it in the office and it wouldn't have to cost more than a normal health-check visit. I guess if I'd have it done at my GP's office (if I had an infant and she/dr would be willing) it wouldn't probably cost more than $50 and be covered by insurance.

~~~ And this is usually for frenotomy which is a "simple" release with  
sterile scissors, perhaps some local anaesthetic and brief cautery with silver  
nitrate (though not usually). I believe a laser release costs more. Or 
maybe  that's just in my area?
