We use Ameda Elite pumps and we clean with CaviWipesXL which contains CaviCide.
You must first remove any visible material on the pump. I often see drops of colostrum dried on
the pump and you must truly use some muscle and scrubbing to get that off. Check every nook and cranny
and lift up the pump arm. Clean all of that. After cleaning the soiled material off, then wipe the pump down.
Follow the product directions, ours has to sit for 3 minutes and dry. I also wipe down the trolley stand the pump is
on and the electrical cord. Then we cover the pump from the top, with a clean clear trash bag and tie it in a knot.
Opinions expressed above are not necessarily those of Baptist.
