dear laura, does your hospital require that new parents have a car seat before
letting them take the baby home? would the staff hesitate for one second
before making the parents feel guilty if they even considered not using a car
seat? perhaps you shouldn't be feeling guilt at all! how about if all
hospitals sent babies home breastfeeding only, with the message that the
parents would have to choose to do something less safe only when they were
outside the control of the hospital? this would be the car seat equivalent.
