It seems to me that Lactnet is a bit short of "good-news" stories these
days. I often remember a young mother many years ago when I was living in
Zimbabwe. She lived in a beautiful house and had decorated the baby's
nursery exquisitely. It had everything you could imagine, and then some! A
beautiful crib, stroller, pram, bottle warmer, baby bouncer etc. She had
not really given her baby's "feeding method" any thought, but just bought
all the "right equipment".

Anyway, baby was born, put in her arms, looked into her eyes and she just
knew she had to breastfeed. Baby was brought home and mother just could not
bear the thought of putting her in the beautiful nursery to sleep alone. So
baby slept in bed with her parents. She never spent one minute in the crib.
Apart from the clothes, nothing in that beautiful room was ever used.
Mother carried baby everywhere in a sling and breastfed forever!
