The local free parenting newspaper came home from school today. They have a
page called "Just for Women" and 1/4 of that page is an orange block titled
"October is national Breast Cancer Awareness Month" There are 9 dates
listed as "dates to remember", there are seminars on breast cancer
awareness, one on surviving breast cancer, one on detection and there are
three listings for breastfeeding information, 2 classes sponsored by
hospitals and LLL.

It is the first time I have seen breastfeeding references under breast
cancer awareness.

"Parents are often so busy with the physical rearing of children that they
miss the glory of parenthood, just as the grandeur of the trees is lost when
raking leaves. ~Marcelene Cox ~
