Below is the full citation on the article by D. Skuse which I quoted from
last week. Quite coincidentally, the day after I posted, there was a front
page article in the Austin American-Statesman about some new info published
by the same Dr. Skuse (!) which has evolved from his studies of Turners
Syndrome girls. Because this is a sex-linked disorder (only females have
it, Lisa) people with it provide a pool of rather interesting research
subjects in terms of exploring genetic questions. Skuse was looking at
whether there is a gene for "instinct" and if it is sex-linked. Anyway, it
seems to be a hot topic-du-jour media-wise, and I guess it answers my
question as to whether anyone else has ever heard of this guy and his work.

Skuse,D: Feeding Difficulties Among Infants and Older Children with Turner
Syndrome, In Turner Syndrome Across the Lifespan, ed. J Rovet, Proceedings
from the 3rd International Turner Syndrome Contact Group Meeting, Toronto
Canada, Klein Graphics, Ontario, 1994.

Joanne Rovet PhD, the editor of the above book is an Assoc. Prof. at the
Dept. of Pediatrics and Psychology, University of Toronto, The Hospt. for
Sick Children, Dept. of Psychology.

I have had many people post to ask me for full citations, so there they are.

Barbara
