Well, they do often say ''I give him my breastfeeding in the bottle'' . Many
Dutch moms call the product (the milk) breastfeeding (the food that comes out
of the breast) instead of the act. Not many Dutch moms use the word for
breast milk "moedermelk" (mothermilk).
About not using "I give formula", I think that that is because in Dutch you'd
have to say "I give artificilal  food" (=kunstvoeding) and moms' don't like
to say that they give something artificial, it sounds ugly and bad.

Interesting to have a Dutch lactation language discussion in Lactnet. Hope it
is interesting for others, too.
