I was sensitized and carried anti-D and anti-M (as in Oz?) antibodies
throughout my last pregnancy. I did a lot of research and consultation
and found no evidence of danger breastfeeding, just possible
difficulties -- anemia (plus my children carry thalessemia minor!) and
jaundice. I was given a wonderful preparation by an LC/LLLL about what
would happen if the titer and bili went up and I had to have an
umbilicalar (sp?) transfusion. As usual, some preparation is helpful in
case there is mother-baby separation, emergency / early C/sec etc.
