I figure the possibilities are two-fold. Either we get the kind of
TV-bf-experience we hope all shows would show (i.e. a minimum of a yr bf
the character, gradual weaning, few bottles, etc.), OR we get a writer
who's "saving up" and planning on ruining things somehow: Scully has to
go away for an extended period of time and baby won't take a bottle and
she has to come back suddenly after 3 days b/c baby is dehydrated and in
hospital and refusing all treatment, etc., thus showing that "bf=stuck
with baby". Or maybe baby gets sick because it's not getting enough
calcium from human milk...or some other highly suspicious problem.

He might even be in for showing that she didn't get a PKU test at the
homebirth, and that the baby has PKU and gets very sick or dies from
it... :-(

I hope it's the former: he actually knows something about bf and is
trying to portray it in a good way.

Fio.
