I have found this to be very subjective. Unless there has been lots of
really good training, I'm not sure how accurate this can be. An example,
I've seen many LATCH scores from L&D of 10. Now I'm not sure how anyone
in L&D can hear "frequent, audible swallowing" at immediately after birth

However, LATCH scores can be really helpful when done in a less
subjective manner. We know if a baby latched, if mom's nipples are sore,
if mom needed someone to totally position baby or was able to do it on
her own.

I think most scoring systems like this are very subjective and the
professional looking at them needs to really assess the current
situation.
