This segment is not new, unfortunately.  I think the first time that *I* saw it was 3-4 years ago, already.

At first glance, it does not appear that formula backs the show.

Regardless of the sponsorship -- every time I catch that show, I cringe.  (It comes on every few months, at least, though we don't often watch PBS, so it could be even more often than I know.)
