I can certainly understand someone who is nomail because of the overwhelming
volume and addictiveness of LactNet requesting that replies be sent directly
to her privately, so she doesn't have to wade through many messages/digests
to find relevant answers to her specific question.

However, the solution is simple.  People responding can post to LactNet with
a blind copy (Bcc:) to the original poster. That way, the poster gets her
specific replies, but the list also gets the information.
