as being a victim of pcos myself -- i lost 5 babies in the process -- but
have 2 beautiful long term Breastfeed 2.5 years plus each -- my milk did seem
a bit slow to come in -- but i was not sure it was because fluid overload
from my c-sections - or from some other mystic reason -- but that was 12 and
16 years ago --long before pcos was found to affect these types of things --
but the great news is now that i have been treated just about a year -- with
the wonder drug - i have lost 61 pounds of the 80 plus that i gained (in 6-8
months) in my teens when the pcos symptoms started -- if i had known then
what i know now -- i could have had my gaggle of kids that i wanted but oh
well -- my two keep my hands full anyway -- They oldest just got her phase
one drivers license -- now that will give you gray hair in a hurry.

as to being fired -- years ago a very nice woman of color (she was an
engineer for a car company and made at least 6 figures) called for SNS -- --
just discharged with a 4.5 LB preemie with no scheduled followup with any lc
of any type (she'd figure it out) -- did not want instructions just the sns

Due to possible risks I do not just sell sns's -- I told her at least she
must watch the video (free) and suggested that she might have her hands more
full than she had expected -- baby had semi latched once at the hospital
before discharge. And gave her a number of local private practice IBCLC's
that she could pick to work with in the area.

Having had a preemie my self a few years before and having used an SNS for
over 2 months before she really took to the breast -- I felt I was giving her
the safest and best advice I could.

She did choose an lc to see her -- it t happened to be one of the 5 l.c.'s in
the area who contracted with my company. I later get a nasty letter about my
prejudiced lc that came to see her

-- the lc that saw her and i had many long discussions about this young lady
and her 1.5 inch nails -- unwilling to pump to keep up her supply -- the need
to watch baby's feeding cues etc. she fired our company because we were
bigots

--NOT I have known this lc and her family for well over 10 years and she did
not have a bigoted bone in her body -- but it was a NICE excuse to ignore all
the right advice and blame someone else for it not working.

nikki my heart goes out to you -- do not take it personal -- it most likely
you were an easy target.
