therapists, X-Ray techs, and other allied health care providers who are
expert in their own specialties."

Linda:  The difference is that all of the above are LICENSED by the state,
IBCLC is not.  Also the IBCLC exam is an ENTRY-LEVEL exam (as per IBLCE), not
one for established, experienced LCs.  Also, I thought LCs were appalled by
the "medicalization" of breastfeeding!  Why would you want to be one of us?
(I am very cranky today)
