I often envision a big room where moms can come and sit with
their babies and learn as a group about bf positions, latch, etc. In the
U.S. this is not culturally accepted.>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Here it is acceptable for many moms, .....at a large hospital here we have
"Latch Check" class on each of the three OB floors most days of the week,
...moms and babies gather in the nursery where we have some nice rockers and some
gliders, BF pillows, ....focus is on the basics of position and latch which
means also teachings 'states', cues, arousing baby etc, if a mom and baby
cannot latch at that time the mom still learns a lot and gets lots of support,
....it is extra nice when all the babies and breast cooperate and you have
several very new mother-baby couples all latched at the same time.
