What about the study in Pediatrics that showed a decrease in colicky crying
with babies who were given probiotics? I'm not saying that there is evidence
based proof to use it in this particular situation, esp. since there was no
report that the baby was uncomfortable, but what about babies who are? Is
there a way to normalize their gut flora more naturally that could kick in
quickly and help miserable babies. I am really interested in this topic, as it
seems a very promising avenue, in re treating colic, and possibly avoiding
disruption of breastfeeding - though in this particular situation the treatment
does seem to be leading directly to a disruption of breastfeeding!

No financial interest in VSL #3, in fact I never heard of it until just now.
