Hello all - 
  Just checked my notebook closely from the ABC - was off by an order of magnitude
  The recommendation that was made was for moms to take between 2000 and 4000 IU's/day of vitamin D - this would bring their own status up to normal and would also provide adequate vitamin D to the nursling.
  Sorry for any confusion.
  However, I really like the idea that if we get mom to take the vitamin D, we help BOTH the mom and the baby! :)
