I just made a major mistake and sent a response to lactnet that was not
meant to be posted. It was regarding negative comments by RN staff
regarding breastfeeding. I was frustrated, and did not mean to send this to
the list. I think that part of the problem is when you deal with this every
day, you get tired, and it's hard to be objective. When someone writes with
such a simple answer as "fire the nurse who said it," it is too simplified.
I, too, would like to know of a good way to respond to negative comments by
nurses about breastfeeding. I listen to it regularly, sometimes behind my
back, but it is there. I try to be supportive and come from a educational
point of view, using current literature and materials. However, I am
interested in how other people respond.

Jennifer, please accept my apologies. I need to be a little more restrained
before I touch that send button.
