Libby,

If she is referring to a single use breastpump, like the Medela
Mini-Electric or Pump in Style or Ameda's Purely Yours, or the like, then
yes she needs to purchase her own.  However, for the hospital grade electric
breast pump you have, all she needs is a pump kit, which she may be able to
purchase from the LC you mentioned.

We use hospital grade electric pumps between patients and between staff who
are pumping.  They do need to be sanitized between users (a hospital
approved disinfectant should be fine) but there should not be a problem with
multiple users for this type of pump.  That is what this type of pump is
designed for!
