Annelies and others,

If someone knows how to reach Paula Meier, she'd be the one to have references.
In her talks for the Dutch LC Ass. symposium in 1998 Paula Meier explicitly
mentioned the immunologic effect of kangooroo-care-near-the-breast and/or
non-nutritive suckling for premature babies, stating that the baby thus
colonises the breast and in a reaction mom makes the specific immune factors in
her milk.
