How sad! We all work with moms who stop b'feeding when all is going well,
for all kinds of annoyancies, and we have moms who are heroic in their
efforts to feed their babies. I hope you can find something that will aid
this mother's milk supply. But I caution you on Reglan. Risk of depression
is a major side effect of this drug, especially after three weeks of use,
and this is in mothers who have no history of depression.

There have been other posts of a milk supply disappearing with a traumatic
experience, and I think some of them reversed later. My own milk supply
disappeared once on the second day of drive across the U.S. When we began
stopping often and relaxing, the supply returned. The trip was much longer
than planned, but baby and mother were much happier.

If the baby will feed with the supplementer then Mom's joy might help to
re-establish the supply as her health stabilizes and her fears are lessened.
