I was unable to access protocols/ tool kits from site Margaret mentioned.
These are great questions. I would love to find an algorithm for all the variables one might see such as gestational age, LGA and other risk factors, feeding method and ability, and if symptomatic.
I work in a level 1, and our protocol is to treat if sugar less than 40, but some Peds want to raise the minimum to 50!
I hope we see many responses from this group.
