I would love to see this too. If anyone can let us know how to get the
article please do so. Maybe there will be something about it at the ILCA
conf.

I have a mom now whose baby wants to "touch" when he is asleep and her doc
and everything she has read has her terrified to even take a nap with him.
She lies awake on her propped up pillows at night with her hand on him,
watching to be sure he doesn't get too close to her. She is greatly sleep
deprived and is beginning to believe that there is something wrong with her
baby that he won't sleep alone.

There is no breastfeeding problem, no weight problem, just expectation
problems. She can relax and sleep only when there is someone else there to
hold the baby while he sleeps. Of course, the advice she is getting is to
give him abm at night so that she can sleep. Her ped assures her that baby
will sleep if he has a full tummy of abm, that it won't be of any harm, and
that a rested mother is more important than all breastmilk.

I surely hope that the Pediatrics article doesn't come with a disclaimer.
Maybe some peds will relax their vehement objection to shared sleep.
