Hi Donna,
 Not sure what edition but it seems in BF and Human Lactation by Riordan, p.
234
(found online as a book preview), it says "rarely" a malignancy can be the
cause of breast refusal.
There is also a module for Health professionals by LLLI on breast refusal
and one from Australian BF Association.
If you are in USA, perhaps you can contact an LLL leader or APL to see if
they can get you an article from their medical library sources.
