I received this e-mail request for supporting documentation to inculde with
a proposal for insurance reimbursement for lactation services. He has given
me permission to post to Lactnet. It told him that lactation services are
covered by insurance in other parts of the country. By forwarding hia
message to the list, he may get replies from others who have used successful
strategies to secure coverage. Please reply directly to him.

Subject: Breastfeeding support data

I write to ask if you are aware of data that supports the need for insurance
coverage of postpartum lactation support. Here in the Capital Region, the
Prenatal Care Assistance Programs (PCAP) and Medicaid Obstetrical Maternal
Services (MOMS) programs are interested in writing a position paper in
support of such coverage, and are requesting any information or leads that
you may have relative to what other groups or organizations have used for
similar purposes.

Any information that you can provide is very much appreciated.

Thanks for attention to my request!
