Hi Jessica:

Re: your mom who is hot to wean fast you wrote:

No offense to this mom, but LET HER GO! Her baby will no doubt be fine
(sniff) on the bottle since this will obviously make her Mom happy...and a
happy mother is a happy baby. This equation should read "A happy baby = a
happy mommy" but sometimes that's not the way the ball bounces...or was
that the way the baby burps? Oh, well.

What keeps me sane (although most of you have evidence from my crazy
postings on Lactnet that I am anything BUT)....is realizing that my role is
to encourage, assist, inform and influence. But my job is not to nurse
other peoples children, to stay up at night with sick babes 'cause they are
not breastfed, to lament when the kids get allergies, or to wring my hands
when a child is hospitalized with severe dehydration. Nope, not my fault.
Choices....it's all 'bout choices. INFORMED choices.

You've done your best.

Roberta
