Rachel's astute observations are right on track. I don't mean to challenge
but I have SO many mothers who call about "low milk supplies" who already know
about domperidone and want to get some. It's astonishing how people want to
self prescribe. BTW, the story was on our local Detroit news stations so it must
be everywhere. We usually only get car wrecks, shootings, basketball and
hockey stories. ;-)

A good friend who gave birth to her second child in early March had trouble
with her milk supply and has tried it all. Asked me for input on the "drugs"
and I suggested other things first. She's a L&D nurse, very well versed on
breastfeeding and knew all the options. I think as long as it's out there,
mothers are going to want to use it, no matter where they get it. We didn't know
where to get it here in the Detroit area but there are several compounding
pharmacies in the Chicago area that I was aware of.
I also have to agree with many other that there is a rat in the woodpile
here. It's the time of year to begin WBW observations and there is always a "hot
story" on the news to distract from the good breastfeeding messages.
