My daughter who is NOT breastfeeding had a LEEP done two months ago and she
had bleeding for a month. The GYN who preformed the LEEP did not seem
concerned. She recently consulted another GYN for a second opinion on her
problems and was told that she should not have bleed for more than a couple
of days. My daughter did not have large clots and the bleeding was not
excessive, but it was as much as a period for the 4 weeks she bleed. She was
not taking any medications or herbs.

I think your breastfeeding mom is another case of blame it on the
breastfeeding instead of looking for the real reason or they can't come up
with a reason for the continued bleeding so they invent one.
