Gatorade is not food--it is a combination of sugars and artificial
ingredients. How did it become good care to encourage anyone to consume
such products? I absolutely believe that nutrition impacts milk supply
for many, many women--perhaps even all women in ways we are not used to
measuring. Anecdotally, many moms find their milk supply increases the
more they increase their consumption of green foods (especially dark
leafy greens). I have just never heard of artificial colors and
processed sugars being a boon to a mother's health or her milk supply,
although perhaps if she consumed enough of these foods, she could
induce an inflammatory condition in the gut, which I am suspicious of
being causative in cases of oversupply.
