If the baby is NOT pooping at least three times a day, there is a problem.
Just had a baby like this -- at two weeks he was still 4 ounces below his
birth weight of 5-3 -- the doc just said "fatten him up."  At one month, the
dad said he looked thin -- everyone had told her he was doing fine, that
nursing all the time during the day was normal, (and he slept at night), and
that the fact that he was stooling only once every 3 to 5 days was normal in a
breastfed infant.  At one month he was 4-8.  I saw her the day after that --
he's now on the right track with weight gain.....
